The World Series of Poker has begun, and the Pinnacle Poker Club’s Friends & Family Series is officially on break for the summer. If you are looking for your poker fix early, please root for Chris and Kasra as they make their way to the WSOP in about four weeks. They will be playing in the Tag-Team event (Event #75 of the WSOP) on July 1 (and hopefully July 2 and 3). It will be Kasra’s first trip to the WSOP and Chris’s fourth. Depending on how the first event goes, Chris may also play in the Mini Main Event (Event #78) and/or the Independence Day Celebration (Event #80).

Whether you follow along with the WSOP or not, please come back to the Pinnacle Poker Club on July 27 for the Dance of Dragons All-Bounty Championship. Power couples Christina & Chris and Matt & Crystal are holding down the top four spots in the race for 2024 Player of the Year, but it is still anyone’s award to win. In our final two regular-season events, the number of points you earn will be much more in your own control. All points in the All-Bounty Championship (other than a single point for participation) will be awarded based on knockouts, so every knockout moves you up the ladder, and there is no value to simply surviving!

And in our final event of the season, the Final Countdown Race Against the Clock on September 7, the event will end after 10 levels, and points will be awarded based solely on how many chips you have accumulated throughout the night. So, again, survival is no longer the goal; racking up chips is!

We expect these last two events to keep the race for Player of the Year exciting down to the very end, and we hope you will join us!

In the meantime, enjoy your summer break!
