With the 2024 Main Event Championship in the books, Season 2 at the Pinnacle Poker Club has officially come to an end. This year, we saw our first winner of three PPC tournaments (Christina), our first two-time season award winner (Crystal), our first repeat Main Event Champion (Altaf), and our longest heads-up battle ever at the PPC (45 minutes between Team Crystal/Matt and Team Kara/Chris in Event #2).
The season was filled with other standout moments too:
- Lauren dominating the final table of our first event, single-handedly knocking out the last 5 players (and cruising all the way to an 8th place POY finish despite missing the remaining 5 games)
- Kara picking up her first PPC win in our inaugural tag-team event
- Matt busting every player he faced in our Shootout Championship in April
- Christina’s domination of the second half of the season, winning three straight events
- A thrilling $150 three-way pot in the very last hand of the regular season to determine our Player of the Year.
We awarded more than $2,500 in total prize money (almost 25% more than last year), with an average field of 13 players, an average prize pool of $400, and an average top prize of $228.
Twenty-five players joined us for at least one event this year, and 15 walked away with prize money at least once. Two-thirds of our players participated in at least half of our events, and our group is still growing with several new players looking to make their first appearance in 2025.
We thank all of you who helped to make 2024 so much fun here at the PPC, and we are looking to build on that fun as we plan for 2025.
